Our dentist and team are proud to offer Invisalign® treatments to help straighten your smile in a way that is less conspicuous than traditional orthodontic treatment. Dr. Nick Lupo can help you straighten your teeth without the hassle of metal brackets and wires, so you do not have to feel self-conscious about your quest to better orthodontic, as well as dental and overall, health! Call Lupo Family Dentistry at 480-661-6541 to learn more about how our dentist can use Invisalign treatments to address even complicated orthodontic issues!

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that harnesses cutting-edge clear aligner technology to create a series of computer-generated, custom-made plastic aligners that can straighten your smile instead of metal brackets and wires like traditional braces. As your teeth gradually shift into place to fit each progressive set of aligners (changed out every two weeks), your Invisalign treatment takes your smile a little bit closer to its final aligned state.

Despite their lightweight convenience and appearance, Invisalign aligners can generally be used to treat a range of orthodontic issues, including many of those traditionally corrected with metal braces. Doctors experienced with Invisalign can even take on complicated orthodontic cases or use clear aligners to support better airway health. Our dentist can use clear aligners to:

  • Space out crowded teeth
  • Straighten crooked or protruding teeth
  • Close unwanted gaps or spaces between teeth
  • Correct certain bite problems

What Can I Expect From Invisalign Treatment?

Your Invisalign journey starts with a one-on-one orthodontic consultation with our dentist, who will thoroughly examine your smile and help you decide if you are a good candidate for clear aligner treatment. This recommendation is based on a number of criteria, including your aesthetic and oral health goals, your preferences for oral appliance appearance, and the severity of your orthodontic case. Once you have made your decision, Dr. Lupo will create a 3D model of your teeth using our in-house digital scanner, allowing you to skip the mess of traditional impressions and get an in-depth visual explanation of your treatment plan.

These digital impressions of your teeth are then used to create your custom clear aligner trays, which will be changed out every two weeks depending on how often you wear your aligners and how your orthodontic treatment is progressing. Throughout your Invisalign treatment, we ask that you visit our office for your recommended check-in appointments so our dentist can ensure treatment is progressing as planned and that no adjustments need to be made to your treatment plan.

Every clear aligner case is unique, both in length of treatment and complexity, but our dentist can give you a rough estimate of your treatment time during your initial consultation. We are always happy to answer any questions you have about your orthodontic care regardless of when they come up during treatment.

Why Choose Invisalign?

If you are looking for more discreet orthodontic care, Invisalign® clear aligners are a great choice for straightening your smile. The main draw of clear aligner treatment are their discretion, comfort and convenience. Unlike metal braces, your Invisalign aligners are made of a smoot, thin plastic fitted to your teeth and easily removed, so you can enjoy your favorite snacks without having to worry about damaging your oral appliances. You may also remove your aligners in order to brush and floss your teeth as you used to, and to clean the aligners if needed. For teens who are worried about their appearance and young professionals looking to make a good first impression, Invisalign’s near-invisible look means they can go about without changing their lifestyle.

Am I a Good Candidate for Invisalign?

Our dentist can discuss your specific orthodontic needs during your initial consultation, but most adults, teens and children qualify for Invisalign care. If you would like to get started on a healthier, straighter smile, call or visit our office to schedule your orthodontic consultation today!
